In this video, we’re addressing the 3 biggest self love habits that, when you commit to them, will help you raise your vibe, fill your cup, and become the best version of yourself—physically, mentally and emotionally!
Habit 1: Make Time for Your Health (1:20)
Decide what you need to do for yourself to take care of your body. It doesn’t need to be a big change, just one small adjustment—like drinking more water, eating a serving of veggies everyday for lunch, swapping your coffee cream for almond milk—one small shift to show your body some love and give yourself the positive feeling of knowing that you can create change with ease.
Making your health a tiny priority will boost your confidence and will power and allow you to incrementally ease into making bigger shifts when you’re ready! And the added confidence and energy will help you show up as a better version of yourself!
Habit 2: Make Time for Your Passions (3:39)
What activities light you up with joy and fill your heart with happiness? I’ve asked this question to audiences of all sizes and most often, the response I get is a sea of blank faces staring back at me. The fact is, so many people think “adulting” means giving up all things fun, spontaneous and pleasureable in exchange for work stress and family responsibilities, as if being adult means being stressed out all the time. That’s not healthy (but you don’t need me to tell you that).
What you may need, though, is a reminder, and maybe someone to give you permission to reconnect to your inner child. Consider this your sign from the Universe that it’s time to start making your passions a priority. Whether you love to cook, garden, volunteer or you’ve always wanted to learn how to dance or start a business. . . don’t wait until your 75 to do what you love. . . start now!
Make pleasurable activities a regular part of your week, even if you can only squeeze it in a few times a week at first! Once you remember how much it fills your soul to get lost in activities you love, it will be easier to make it a regular habit in your life.
Habit 3: Splurge on Yourself!
Now, I’m not suggesting your run up your credit cards and go into debt spoiling yourself. But I am recommending that you do spend money on yourself in a way that makes you feel luxurious and worthy! You earn money (even if you’re a house manager or stay-at-home-mom, you are working at 40 hour + job!!!) and you deserve to enjoy the fruits of your labor.
You spend so much time and energy giving. . . this is your opportunity to give back to yourself and to practice the art of receiving (if you are interested in the Law of Attraction and you’re open to allowing more abundance into your life, this is a necessary step in the process) so by practicing giving to yourself, you are training your mind to “turn off” the thoughts of guilt and undeservingness and “tune into” thoughts the frequency of worthiness, allowing and abundance. And when you truly believe your worthy and deserving of all that you desire, the Universe will respond by bringing it to you!
Because all you have to do to receive is ask and then allow! Splurging on yourself once in awhile is a good practice in exactly that!
